As a former “Black Sheep,” I understand what it’s like to navigate life’s challenges with limited support. My lived experiences with adversity in childhood and adolescence have shaped my approach to healing-relearning healthy behaviors that foster growth, patience, resiliency, and
empowerment. Through this journey, I’ve learned to give myself grace, and now I strive to help others do the same.
My mission is to support those who seek acceptance and a new perspective on their own experiences. Life can be difficult, and facing it alone can feel overwhelming. I believe empathy is most powerful when rooted in relatability, and cultural competence should never be an afterthought. My own struggles have deepened my compassion for people from all walks of life and the unique challenges they face.
Grief and forgiveness go hand in hand when we commit to personal growth. Acknowledging our mental health needs isn’t always easy-especially for those of us who were raised to believe that therapy is taboo. However, I firmly believe that anyone, regardless of their past, is capable of changing the trajectory of their life. It takes work, and it’s not easy-but you are worth it.
