I have always had a passion for helping people since I was a young girl. It came naturally, so it only made sense to find a career that allowed me to do so. I am a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor with over 10 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field. I began my journey in this field as a case manager working with individuals that struggle with substance abuse and mental health diagnosis, and from that moment I knew this was the field I am most passionate about. I received an extensive amount of clinical training working in the hospital setting inpatient/outpatient programs that specialized in treating addiction and Mental health.
I learned that people just want to be validated and heard. If I can be that person for each client I meet than I did my due diligence as a therapist to show unconditional positive regard, non-judgment, and listening empathetically. The areas I specialize in are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and the Humanistic Approach.
My goal is to strengthen, empower, and guide each client to achieving a healthier self.
